I can't believe it's taking me this long to post about our trip to NYC! Josh and I spent Wednesday through Sunday exploring the depths of Manhattan! We arrived at our hotel around noon on Wednesday and hit up Juniors for some yummy lunch on the patio! After that, we hit the ground running and really did not stop until Sunday evening on our plane ride back to Dallas. I wasn't quite sure how to sum up our 5 day trip in writing, so I broke it down by day. Here's a 'brief' outline of the activities we did each day. Enjoy!
Wednesday
Financial district- Wall street, WTC site, New York Stock Exchange, Federal Hall, Trinity Church
Times Square- nice dinner @ db Moderne, cheesecake at Roxy's
Thursday
Theatre District- The Today Show, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, FAO Schwartz, lunch @ Serendipity 3, Grand Central Station
Upper East Side- The Met, Museum of Natural History
Upper West Side- Cafe Lalo, Monk's Diner (from Seinfeld), The Cathedral of St. John the Divine (soon-to-be largest church in the world!)
The Bronx- Yankee Game
Central Park!
Friday
Theatre District- Rob Thomas concert on The Today Show, Empire State Building, Broadway show "The Lion King"
Gramercy- Madison Sq. Garden, The Flatiron Building, Ferry Ride on the Hudson
Midtown West- eat some yummy food at a French-Mediterranean bistro
Saturday
Downtown- walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, explore 5th ave
Soho- enjoy the quaint shops
Little Italy- eat lunch
Chinatown- we were overwhelmed with all the 'junk'
Greenwhich Village- had a cupcake from the famous Magnolia Bakery
Midtown West- watch fireworks from the pier
Sunday
Upper West Side- enjoy brunch at Sarabeth's with Audrey
Upper East Side- The Guggenheim museum
Central Park (again), Carnegie Hall, lunch at Blue Fin
As you can see, we had a busy, yet fun time together and enjoyed spending our 1 year anniversary in New York!
