From Dallas to Denver!

Last Friday Josh & I woke up super early in order for me to catch my 7:50 flight to Denver. I was soo excited to visit my sister in Colorado because we only get to see each other about 3 or 4 times a year. Because my sister is such a "planner" and "go-getter", the minute I landed in Denver, she had scheduled our next 3 days down to the minute! So, that Friday, we did several fun things in downtown Denver. First off, we visited her office, which is located on the 24th floor in downtown Denver. Here are some pics from her office! Check out the view!

After that, we went to the Denver Art Museum where we saw several prints of Monet and Picasso. One of my favorites was the "Textile Art" section where we saw several antique furniture from hundreds of years ago. The actual building's architecture is amazing! This picture is for you Josh, I know he'll love it and appreciate it!

Next on the agenda, we went back to her apartment to get ready for the evenings festivities which included eating at "The Tavern", going to a Rockies game, and enjoying downtown Denver afterward! Here are more pics :) The next day, Steph and I woke up late, and went to eat brunch at "Snooze" where we split a huge pancake, hash browns, eggs, and a "Granola Split." It was incredible! After that, we took the infamous hike. Yes, during our 5 mile hike, we saw a doe, rabbit, and several birds, and I could have sworn I heard a cougar growl. Once we were about 100 yards from the top, Steph stopped dead in her tracks (now, when the fearless Steph stops...it's not a good sign!) she heard several "stomps" ahead...and since there were no other people on the trail..we knew it wasn't good. She insisted we turn around and head back down the mountain (which was not a bad idea considering there was a storm blowing through and it was lightning!). I was totally okay with heading back down!!!

Wish I could have been there, too! However, I would not have been much fun on the hike...I would have opted for the Mile High Thrift Store!! Love you both! Looks like you had a blast!
