Texas Fight!
Today has been a blur! Josh wakes me up this morning at 7:30 jumping up and down saying 'Hurry and get up, we have to go down there (the fair) and try and get tickets for the game!' Well considering I went to bed at 1:00 the night before, I was a little slow to get out of bed. However, my anxious husband would not allow one more minute to go by! So, at 8:15 we're headed out of the apartment: Josh with the coffee; me with wet hair and my make-up bag; but both of us wearing burnt orange and headed south for the game. What is supposed to be a 25minute drive, ended up being a 2 hour drive due to the thousands of people ready to see the #1 team in the nation take on the #5 team.
Finally, we reach the fairgrounds and are asking every person who's holding up tickets: "How much for two of those?" and "Which side are they on?" 10 minutes until kickoff, we purchase two tickets and quickly head to our seats. Thankfully we get there just as the teams are running out on the field.
All in all, the game was phenomenal. It was Josh's first UT game and it was definitely worth every penny...eevverryy penny! This was by far the best football game I'd ever been too or seen! In fact, it was so good, that we're sitting here at the apartment watching the game all over again...and I like it!
