Ice Cream Party! Anniversary! Secret Vacation!

So a lot has happened since my last post (Field Day Fun!). First let me mention that TOMORROW is the LAST day of school! Hallelujah! Now, don't get me wrong, it has been a FABULOUS year. But I have had the responsibility of 24 kids for the past 176 school days and I am ready for a break! Anyway, last week my class won an ice-cream party for having the most parent volunteers at Field Day! One thing I love about NHE is the PARENTS! Incredible! Anyway, here's a picture of those hoodlums :)

On Sunday May 31, Josh and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary! It was wonderful! I woke up to a dozen roses and quite possibly the sweetest card. Josh thinks he's a terrible writer, but I disagree completely! That day was very relaxing...we napped, laid by the pool, and then went to a nice dinner at Maggiano's. Afterwards we came home, watched our wedding video, and ate cake! And yes, the cake was still good!

Josh and I have decided to take a trip to NYC as a 1 year anniversary trip! I used to think it was ridiculous for newly married couples to take extravagant trips just because they've been married for one year...but...after much discussion and saving we decided to do it now! So, this July, Josh and I are taking a 5 day trip to NYC. We're SUPER excited!!! Enjoy the pictures from Sunday!

Now for SECRET VACATION time! So, last week my parents informed us that, for their 30th wedding anniversary, they were going to take me & Josh & Stephanie (sister) on a vacation. However, the destination was unknown!!! Now some of you know my parents, but for those that do not, this is very exciting! Growing up my family did lots of things together, but never any elaborate, surprise, 7 day trips! The three of us are thrilled! My mom has begun emailing the three of us different 'hints' regarding the trip. I've decided to blog about this 'secret vacation' and let you in on the hints. So, here is the first hint (not that exciting) but you gotta start somewhere!

Vacations Hint #1:
We are now booked and confirmed for August 1-8th.

I'll keep you updated! Good-bye for now, gotta go back to cookin'!
