A Cozy Christmas

This year I've really enjoyed getting to decorate our home for Christmas. As I flip through the December issue of Pottery Barn, it's hard not to covet each and every item and question myself saying "Why didn't I think of that?" However, I will say that each time I walk into our home after work, I feel so blessed and full of joy knowing that this house is ours. All of those days of saving and hard work have definately paid off. Here are a few pics of my December issue...

This next picture doesn't really have to do with holiday decor, but it's of our entry-way. Check out the wreath I bought from Lorrianna's in Tyler. A lady is in the store hand-making them as you shop. She gets all of her materials from the farm she and her husband live on. I LOVE IT!

Yes it's easy (and fun!) to get wrapped up in the gift buying/giving, cooking, last minute shopping, Christmas card mailing, home decorating, holiday partying, and so on...yet lose focus of the simplicity of the season: a baby boy. Christmas is all about Jesus entering a place that needed healing, love, and hope. May God's peace, love, and joy abound in you this season :)
